About this 3D model

This file is meant to aid those in rural or developing environments. While printable materials may not be suitable for long-term use as hoof protection, these printable horseshoes are meant to offer short term relief, and at least some protection from the environment. Additionally, the file is easily modifiable, and can be altered to fit horses or other hooved animals of any size. Directions for customization are below.Customization Directions:-Open the .FCstd file in FreeCAD -Navigate down the trees to find the "Base Horseshoe Sketch" sketch -Double click this to edit the sketch. It should look like this: Sketch Editing Example -From here, many aspects can be changed, including the length, width, and material width of the shoe. Any changes made here should instantly affect the model itself, as well as the slots for the nails. -Additionally, the slots themselves can be edited by navigating to the "Slots Sketch" sketch, and editing it. -The height, slot depth, and many more features can be adjusted by navigating around the part, and editing the individual features. These values are often displayed in the box below the navigation panel. Here, you can see that the depth of the slots is 2.5mm : Navigation Widow Example **PLEASE NOTE: THESE HORSESHOES HAVE YET TO BE TESTED IN THE REAL WORLD. PLEASE USE COMMON SENSE, AND CAUTION.**
