Fossil specimen of a tooth of Carcharocles megalodon (or, “Megalodon”) from the Miocene Hawthorn Formation of Beaufort County, South Carolina (PRI 55188). Specimen is from the collections of the Paleontological Research Institution, Ithaca, New York. The longest dimension of specimen is approximately 16 cm.
