Hey hey ladies and gents, This is a free test file for the foldable mechanism used in the newest Tinker Junkie Foldable Terrain faction drop: NuGoth. More about that HERE! It’s a cropped version of the A piece from the full set, made so you can test the hinge tolerances, the multimaterial setup, and the 90° opening angle on your own printer before jumping into the full release. If that means absolutely nothing to you, check the latest campaign update. Included in this pack: 2 STL files, one for each colour 1 joined 3MF, for easy multimaterial printing or customisation This is a test file based on a final terrain piece, set up so you can judge whether your printer is up to the task. If it prints cleanly, opens properly, and lands at 90°, you’ll know your machine can handle the full set. And if you like how it turns out, don’t throw it away, it’s fully usable on the table as part of your layouts, just... dont go crazy and print like 16 of these, that would look terribly boring. Since moving parts can behave differently depending on machine, material, and slicer settings, this file is here to let you check fit and function before committing to the full release. If you came here from somewhere else, and you’re interested in the full terrain release, check out the files in my library and the bundles HERE. +++++++++++++++++++++++ These files are designed to fit A1 Mini sized printers, and they come prepared for multicolour printing. ⚠️ Non-manifold warning The non-manifold warning can be safely ignored. Still, always check the toolpath preview before printing, just to make sure your slicer is not doing anything unusual. This warning appears because the files are built from multiple closed meshes, and some of those meshes share coincident triangular faces so the multicolour geometry lines up correctly. That can trigger a non-manifold warning, but slicers handle it cleanly and it should not affect print quality. ⚠️ About the colour-separated files The files are kept colour-separated on purpose. Most slicers allow you to combine or merge the parts into a single object for printing. If the files were exported only as one single STL, you would lose some slicer control, especially for things like Fuzzy Skin, which makes the stone texture look really nice on monocolour prints too. For Cura: import the parts, select them, right click, then use Merge. If your slicer handles this differently and you get stuck, just let me know and I’ll help you figure it out.
