About this 3D model
This high relief, sculpted by a Venetian artist in the second quarter of the 14th Century, depicts the Virgin of the Annunciation. It was acquired by the museum by Pietro Bertagnoni in 1908. The Annunciation, also referred to as the Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Annunciation of Our Lady, or the Annunciation of the Lord, is the Catholic celebration of the announcement by the Archangel Gabriel to the Blessed Virgin Mary that she would conceive and become the mother of Jesus, the Son of God, marking His Incarnation.
