About this 3D model

This is a marble bust of the pre-Socratic philosopher Zeno. It is an Augustan copy (23 BC - AD 14) of a Greek original of the 3rd Century BC. Zeno of Elea (c. 495 - 430 BC) was a Greek philosopher of Magna Graeca and a member of the Eleatic School founded by Parmenides. Aristotle called him the inventor of the dialectic. He is best known for his paradoxes, which Bertrand Russell has described as "immeasurably subtle and profound".
