About this 3D model

The Stelophor of the Chaui (ii) is made of fine limestone and measures approx. 32 x 13 x 18 cm. Remains of a colored frame have been preserved along the curly wig and the right arm. The object dates to the New Kingdom (circa 1550-1070 BC). Chaui (ii) served as guardian of the Place of Truth (= Valley of the Kings) in the days of Ramses II, and provided tools and other materials to the artisans who created the royal tombs. On the stele, the sun god is praised: "Re [prei] sen, while rising in the eastern horizon, by the guard in the place of truth, Chaui, [justified]. He says, 'Hail, Re in his (!) Go on, Atum-Harachte in this, his name Lord of the Gods, A [mun, the King] of Nine. May you light me so that I may see your beauty. It is I who is unscathed on Him! [You may appoint me one] from these praises as ever [the] righteous [by Osiris], Chaui. '"
