About this 3D model

The distinctive characteristics of his head hold features which are iconographic of the Hermes Propylaios Hermes, attributed to Alkamenes. These features are very recognisable, and the artist is responsible for a large amount of bearded herms created in the Flavian period. This work is most likely not by Alkamenes, but by a skilled craftsman who carefully copied the models with great classical tradition. It cannot be established as to what the intended use of this head is.
