About this 3D model
This figure embodies the classic style of the Gupta dynasty associated with the important monastic centre of Sarnath. Features of the style include the monastic robe that clings tightly to a slightly swaying body and the serene introspective expression of the face. Two devotees kneel at either side of the Buddha's feet. This type of image was hightly influential. It was copied throughout Asia, probably from smaller bronzes and paintings, which were taken to other countries.
