This is a functional design based on somthing like the Peak design Clutch. It's designed to attach to the 1/4"-20 thread in the base of the camera, and can be adjusted for different hand sizes left to right. To use this, you'll need a 1/4"-20 x ~3/8" screw, preferably a thumbscrew so it can be easily removed. Additionally, friction or masking tape can be applied to the mounting surface to improve hold. You'll also need a clip, zip tie, or strap to attach it to the top clip. Compared to the Peak design Clutch at $40, this is about $1 in plastic, with maybe $1 in further parts, so a cost savings of about 95%, for similar functionality.
