About this 3D model

Embedded Magnet Dispenser Tool for Multiple Diameters and Thicknesses Over 60 Magnet Sizes Now Supported !! PROFILE NOTE Please use the “Designer” profiles as they guarantee the latest files and version with all new magnet sizes and features. The Designer Profiles will be listed at the top. Latest Update Version 5.5 (2026-05-28): Quick summary Due to so many supported sizes, I have separated the previously single profile into a separate profile organized by magnet diameter. There are now 15 profiles, each dedicated to a specific magnet diameter. See the “6mm Diameter Set” profile, for example, for all of the 6mm magnet diameter dispensers. 22 new sizes added, by request: 3x4mm 3x5mm 3x6mm 4x4mm 5x4mm 5x5mm 7x1mm 8x5mm 9x1mm 12x1mm 12x4mm 13x1mm 13x2mm 13x3mm 15x1mm 15x4mm 19x1mm 19x2mm 19x3mm 20x1mm 20x4mm 20x5mm NOTE: you can find these new sizes within their respective profiles and plates within the profile. See below for the more detailed update notes. Magnet Dispenser for 3D Prints: Simplify Magnet Insertion with Precision The Magnet Dispenser Tool is expertly designed to streamline the insertion of magnets into 3D prints. This tool not only speeds the process of inserting magnets into 3D Prints, it also ensures correct orientation and secure fitting, making it ideal for projects that require precise magnet placement. Key Features Dual Dispensers for Perfect Alignment Includes two dispensers for each magnet size – one for north-up and one for south-up orientations Use different colors (e.g., red for north-up and blue for south-up) to help easily identify the dispenser's orientation Eliminates the hassle of misaligned magnets Design and Utility Developed after extensive refinement Allows for friction-fit insertion and is also suitable for magnets that are glued Tapered tip for use in tight spaces Ease of Use The dispensers are designed to accommodate the specified magnet sizes for their internal holding magnets, but can dispense magnets of any thicknesses for the specified diameter. For example, for the 6x3mm dispenser, you will need 6x3mm magnets to assemble the dispenser, but once assembled, that dispenser can dispense any 6mm diameter magnet such as 6x1, 6x2, 6x3, 6x5, etc. Convenience and Storage Features a snap-on cap with an embedded magnet and a top slider magnet to keep the magnet stack from sliding out when not in use Ensures secure storage and prevents accidental magnet spillage Customization and Printability No supports needed for printing STL and STEP files included for personal customization Compatible with PETG, PLA, ASA, ABS, etc Adjust x/y hole compensation if needed for perfect fit Visual Guide Fusion 360 images provided for easy assembly and understanding of the internal mechanism Use the Magnet Dispenser for a hassle-free, precise, and efficient magnet insertion experience in your 3D printing projects. Supported Magnet Sizes Dispensers are now provided for the following magnet sizes as of Version 5.5 2x1mm 2x2mm 2x3mm 3x1mm 3x2mm 3x3mm 3x4mm 3x5mm 3x6mm 4x1mm 4x2mm 4x3mm 4x4mm 5x1mm 5x2mm 5x3mm 5x4mm 5x5mm 6x1mm 6x2mm 6x3mm 6x4mm 7x1mm 7x2mm 7x3mm 8x1mm 8x2mm 8x3mm 8x4mm 8x5mm 9x1mm 9x2mm 9x3mm 10x1mm 10x2mm 10x3mm 10x4mm 10x5mm 12x1mm 12x2mm 12x3mm 12x4mm 12x5mm 15x1mm 15x2mm 15x3mm 15x4mm 15x5mm 18x1mm 18x2mm 18x3mm 18x4mm 18x5mm 19x1mm 19x2mm 19x3mm 20x1mm 20x2mm 20x3mm 20x4mm 20x5mm NOTE 1 : The 1mm magnet thickesses are just too thin to work reliably with the friction-fit of the slider and caps. Therefore, I have made the pockets of the “1mm” thickness magnet dispensers to be that of the 3mm variety so that they work. So to assemble a 1mm magnet thickness dispenser, you will need to purchase a few 3mm thick magnets to assemble the dispenser. A 2mm thickness will likely work ok, too. Note that the text on the dispenser will still say “D x 1 mm” for the barrel, “Dx1” on the cap, and “D/1” on the slider, so you know what magnets you have loaded into it. NOTE 2 : the above are the sizes needed to assemble the dispenser. The dispenser can still dispense any thickness of magnet as long as the diameter is the same. So if don't see your specific magnet thickness listed above, you can still print the correct diameter, assemble the dispenser with the correct magnet thickness, and dispense other thicknesses. STEP and STL raw files are included if you do not wish to use the provided profile. Testing I have printed all dispenser sizes and tested each extensively I have acquired and tested all magnet sizes to ensure fit, i.e., I did not simply use published thicknesses and diameters as they are often not accurate according to caliper measurements Magnet diameters are tricky for press-fit tolerance and controlled by several Fusion 360 parameters in the model that must be balanced to achieve a good fit for the magnet pockets (e.g., with a single parameter, if the diameter is right for the top of slider, it is usually wrong for the cap and bottom of the slider, etc - I believe this is due to how c
