About this 3D model

I just got a new laptop but doing CAD or even light gaming with a mouse is basically impossible small surface of the arm rest. This platform works surprisingly well with my large gaming mouse (pictured). Unfortunately, it doesn't work with my smaller Microsoft blue LED mouse, though it's unclear if that is due to the material, color, or finish.
