About this 3D model
The Tau Ceti Bonsai is an alien take on a classic form—twisting growth, hollowed organic structure, and clustered canopy pods that feel more cultivated than natural. I designed this to sit somewhere between a bonsai and a preserved off-world specimen. The trunk flows upward with carved voids and smooth transitions, while the canopy forms into dense, cloud-like clusters that print cleanly and hold their shape well. Everything is built with FDM in mind—no fragile tips, solid connections, and a structure that supports itself naturally with minimal cleanup. It works great as a standalone display piece, whether printed in a single color for a clean sculptural look or multiple colors for added contrast.
