Its a little Stand to hold the feeder on the aquarium. My cat always threw it down. Just stick it on and put the feeder on it. V3 has additionaly a funnel. The funnel of V3 is slightly larger than that of V2. I recommend to use V3, if the aquarium only has a small feed opening. Then will nothing falls away.
