About this 3D model

After a month of work I would like to present my submission for the Cyrcle Phone Design Competition. I aimed to design a case that was more symmetrical and ergonomic than the original design while still maintaining the ability to print the housing. This was an excellent opportunity to exercise my 3D-printing design skills and be reminded of the value in iteration and determination to make things work. There were some awesome concepts that were truly humbling; it was a pleasure to be able to compete alongside so many fantastic designers. General Notes: I decided to use snap fits to secure the housing in order to make the casing fully 3D-printable, but the design can readily be adapted for screws. Another significant change I made was the removal of the external access to the SD Card and SIM Cards for better protection of these essential components. The battery was moved to a center placement to afford for a more symmetrical housing as well. The holes for the buttons and optics will likely need some sanding when they are printed to get them to fit and move comfortably.
