Loosening the joints Using two hands, put pressure on both sides of the joint and press them together. Then, twist them slightly around the joint. A small ‘crack’ will be heard and felt when it releases for the first time. If any joint feels like it may be bending instead of releasing, leave it and work on another. The stubborn joints should be addressed last. Do not apply excessive pressure when twisting. If the joint feels like it is stretching and bending, it is likely fused. Any further effort will twist the joint off. It should not be necessary to use any tools to loosen the joint.
