About this 3D model

History Hernhutters The Hernhutters were brothers who originally (anno 1722) came from the former Czechoslovakia, but were persecuted there, fled and ended up in Hernhut in Germany. In that town they built a settlement that has grown into an Evangelical Brethren community. Today there are several Brethren communities throughout Europe, Africa, South-America and the Caribian, totalling to 1 million members. Model This model is a 70% downscaled version of my “big” Christmas Star model Hernhutter Christmas Star - Ø 44 cm Remixed by Bootjevaarder - MakerWorld In fact all parts were redesigned to make the star rays self-centering, making assembly easier. Diameter 30cm (12 inches) Weight: 0.13 kg. Printing The Star Rays are printed in Vase Mode: Layer height 0.2 mm with 5 bottom layers, or layer height 0.25 mm with 4 bottom layers. I printed all other parts with layer height 0.2 mm on my PRUSA Mini. White E-Sun PLA+ works quite well for this application. Assembly For orientation please have a look at 3D-VIEW.stl. All Star Rays are glued to the Frame Bottom and FrameTop . Leave the top square opening in the Frame Top open for the Fitting Holder . Now assemble the E14 lamp fitting (with electricity cord) in the Fitting Holder , and fit a E14 LED bulb, max. diameter 32 mm. I used a LED sewing machine bulb. Please let me know if your fitting needs a different hole in the Fitting Holder. Next place or glue the Fitting Holder (with fitting and bulb installed) in the Frame Top. Finally glue the Frame Top to the Frame Bottom. M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S
