A sleeker, stronger and lighter Assist Handle designed to facilitate entry and exit from a recumbent tricycle. It can also be used as a convenient attachment/mounting point for other accessories on the trike. The handle is designed to mount onto the root of the steering column with M5 hardware, one handle on each side of the trike. The 20 mm octagonal tube design allows the handle to be secured in any one of 8 different positions. When printed per the recommendations below, the object is as strong as most light weight canes found on the market today. The parts can be easily 3D printed, without any support, on a modern inexpensive 3D Printer. They can be printed with a variety of materials, including PLA, PETG, ASA, ABS and many other types of printable materials. PETG or ASA work very well for this application. The objects should be durable, easy to maintain, and last for a long time.
