Both the blade and hilt fit into the hand guard, while the pommel slips over the end of the dragon tooth hilt. Two Part Blade w/ Built in Alignment Peg As can be seen above, the blade was split in two. An alignment diamond was included to make fitting the two pieces together a much easier task. Cirth Runes I had to actually look up the Cirth alphabet to try and match up the runes to what I could see on the sword, and hand model the runes into the filagree.
