NOTE: THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS Science hardware for children project The goal of this project is to teach Children in grades 6-9 the basic principles of a dial indicator and mechanical ampflication. The general principle of a dial indicator is rather basic. It is a tool that simply amplifies a mechanical signal in a precise manner where an operator can measure visually. A linear vertical displacement is imported and a rotation about the z is the desired output.
