Vezeley Abbey is a Benedictine and Cluniac Monastery in Vezelay in France. It has a complex program of imagery in sculpted capitals and portals, such as this one. The gorgeous capitals stand atop pillars and depict the lives of well-known and significant saints at key points of their lives. This particular Capital deviates from this theme, displaying the Four Winds and their bellows.
