About this 3D model

During renovation, I had to create a new substructure on the ceiling. I constructed the substructure using 24x48mm roof battens. To quickly and easily level the battens, I developed this clip. A piece of a broken measuring stick is inserted into the clip. Every tradesman should have one at home :-) Then the clip is attached to the batten in the area of the adjusting screw. I marked a point on the measuring stick. The cross line laser set up in the room then indicates the current height on the clip. Now the adjusting screw is turned in or out in the wood, depending on the desired direction/height, until the mark coincides with the laser line. This allows you to easily and quickly go through all the fixing points of the battens and then have a neatly aligned substructure for the subsequent ceiling cladding. The clip is designed so that the reference surface rests against the underside of the batten. This eliminates any concerns about uneven wood thicknesses. I simply printed the clip out of PLA.
