About this 3D model

This is a depiction of the Eagle of Saint John the Evangelist, sculpted after a model by Adolphe Victor Geoffrey-Dechaume between (1858-1861) In spite of a height of two metres, this eagle weighs no more than 75 kilograms. This surprising lightness is due to the thinness of the copper sheets used. They do not exceed five milimetres in thickness. They are riveted and bolted onto a metal frame, which serves as the sculpture's skeleton.
