Contains files for one 18pdr Field Gun Team,including: 1x 18pdr Field Gun (MkII) 6x Crew 1x 80mm base-topper 3x Ammunition accessories Scale: 28mm, 1/56 Designed by: James Dilworth and Sam Kelly Introduced in 1904, the 18pdr (84mm) quickly became the standard field gun of the British army, firing a variety of ammunition types to ranges of 6,000-10,000 metres. By the time of the Armistice, over 3,000 18pdrs were in service on the Western Front, and they had used nearly 100 million rounds of ammunition, mostly shrapnel and HE. The 18pdr would remain in service through the inter-war period, eventually being replaced by the 25pdr, but still seeing use on secondary fronts during the Second World War.
