No other hardware needed. The fitting for rods and cap are permanent, you can try to take it apart, but most likely it will break. Hammer fit the cap with rod, if you have hard time to put it on. That's how I did it. If your hand is small, it might be a bit hard for you to play like two roller toy. I play it around my fingers this just because it is easier to rotate. This is new design base on my Massage roller design. I thought it would be cool to have three roller. If you have color change filament, it will looks really good. Have fun!
