Comfortable and Wearable: Designed for prolonged use without discomfort. Visibility Maintained: Enjoy the party fully, you can still see with these on! Customizable Colors : Change 'Gradient-top' and 'Gradient-bottom' colors for unique effects (more detail below) Low wastage: Reduced filament wastage by separating models and aligning color changes to layer-height ✨DAZZLING GRADIENT✨ Observe the color shift from red to yellow, without a gradient filament! This design uses the semi-transparent properties of filament to create a dazzling gradient effect along the shutter lines. This was done by adjusting the model thickness in specific areas. You can experiment with filaments and create different effects by changing the filament assigned to parts of the model: Adjust per-model materials by (1) clicking on Objects, then (2) selecting the relevant model and changing the assigned material. Gradient-Bottom is the bottom layer of the shutters, and most prominent for the lower 3 bands Gradient-Top is on top of Gradient-Bottom, and progressively gets thicker (creating the gradient) You can quickly assign materials by hitting the corresponding number on your keyboard (e.g. 1 = slot 1, 2 = slot 2, etc.) Color combination ideas: Example gradients: Snowy day, Sunset, and Tropical Sunset - Red (Gradient-Bottom) to Yellow (Gradient-Top) Snowy day - White (Gradient-Bottom) to Light Blue (Gradient-Top) Tropical - Green (Gradient-Bottom) to Yellow (Gradient-Top) Glowing - Any (Gradient-Bottom) to Glow (Gradient-Top) Noir - Black (Gradient-Bottom) to White (Gradient-Top) You can also experiment with different properties; like metallic or sparkle fading to matte or transparent! ASSEMBLY Assembly is straight-forward. Each pair of glasses needs a complete frame, and one of each of the temples (left and right). Once printed, each temple will snap fit into the frame as shown below. This can be quite stiff and requires some strength to fit; but once fitted, you will have a strong and freely moving hinge for your glasses! Snap-fit assembly demonstration. NOTE: Requires some force to assemble. PRINT SETTINGS Use the original Designer profile to ensure success. If you're setting up your own profile for yourself, or to share - here are a few notes. Print Settings: 0.2mm layer height, 2 walls; no supports needed. Material Advice: PLA works well, or switched PETG for enhanced durability, especially for hinges. DO NOT mix PETG and PLA for color layers, as you will encounter material adhesion issues. Stick to one type of filament. Printing Tip: Ensure your filament is flow calibrated for optimal snap-fit hinge functionality. LOVE THIS DESIGN?
