About this 3D model

Summary This is a one-piece printed enclosure designed to be operated as a simple mono speaker using TEBM65C20F-4 fullrange and cheap digital amplifier board. there are two inputs - signal (3,5 Jack-TRS) and DC power (2.1/5.5 mm connector) EDIT: second smaller and tidier version added. -fits mk3 -has inner screw posts to hold the amplifier board -bassreflex hole - fits any 32/28 mm tube (8 cm long piece should do the trick) -inner support structure has to be cut out and top hole drilled through after printing Notes: Designed to be printed without supports. I´d recomend to use variable layer height in bottom (reduce overhang) and top part (reduce visible layer steps on top). Leaf is to be cut and printed in two parts, then glued together - provided leaf model is of course without the AWC sign :-) Post-Printing In the beginning I intended no surface finish, but screwed up retraction settings :-D therefore I wet-sanded it a bit, used some filler, primer and white gloss spray paint. Speaker is mounted by M3 heatset brass inserts. One important thing, as speaker is almost off balance due to heavy magnet - you need to pour some 1-2 cm layer of concrete/gypsum or put some general weight on the inside bottom :-) EBM is not a superb speaker (horrible dip in frequency range around 1800 Hz) but still acceptable for about 20 bucks. Definitely needs bafflestep compensation to prevent bass drop - paralelled 0,7 mH coil and 6-7 ohm resistor in series with speaker (resistor value could be tweaked with a bit). Also RLC compensation for high freq. is possible as seen in schematics. I used cheap TPA3116D2 2X50W (turned to mono and reduce gain) digital amplifier board with standby and volume control on potentiometer. This could be wired out of board and mounted throught the hole on top of the enclosure (needs to be drilled-through by 7mm bit). Printed leaf is positioned onto the knob and by turning you can control stand-by and volume - pretty simple. There are holes for panel mounted 3.5 mm TRS/jack and power connector (2.1/5.5 mm) on the backside of enclosure. Stereo TRS/jack could be used - L and R signal si then summed through two 33-100R resistors to mono. Input power could go anywhere between 12-24 Volts (I used old laptop 19V/50VA brick power source).
