About this 3D model
A simple weight rack for small dumbbells. Slots together so it doesn't require any hardware. The weights are relatively light so it's more than capable of holding them. Update: Made some changes to the model to improve stability: Removed chamfers from slots, which caused fitments come loose easier Made the connectors taller so they anchor down better Removed chamfer from the bottom of the rack so it doesn't tip as easily Tolerances on my model I printed were 0.5mm but it was a bit loose so I lowered them to 0.3mm, should still be more than enough for any printer. ---------------------------------------------------- Print flat since the overhangs can be a little harsh, might redesign those in the future. Also it allows the infill to show if that's what you want. Mine was printed with a 0.6 nozzle, but here's some settings with a 0.4 nozzle in mind: Material: PLA (I used Overture PLA Pro but normal PLA should work fine.) Layer Height: 0.2-0.28mm Perimeters: 4 Top/Bottom: 0 (if you want infill to show) Infill: 15-20% Honeycomb (Any infill works, I just like the hexagons) ---------------------------------------------------- Tolerances on my model I printed were 0.5mm but it was a bit loose so I lowered them to 0.3mm, should still be more than enough for any printer. Below are the measurements your dumbbells will need to fit: Top dumbbells: Handle Length: > 7.6cm Handle Diameter: < 3.4cm End Diameter/Width: < 7cm (measured at points for hexagonal dumbbells) Bottom dumbbells: Handle Length: > 7.6cm Handle Diameter: < 3.8cm End Diameter/Width: < 4.25cm Comment or contact me directly and I can adjust the model if needed for you.
