About this 3D model
Hex Flip Stand Intro This is my entry into the Make My Sign Contest . The stand is assembled by simply snapping the left and right panels together to create a triangle stand. The inserts are added depending on which sign you want to use. The rings can be installed by rotating the open end through the inserts, adding the sign(s), and snapping the ring snap into place to complete the circle. The sign sizes I used are listed below along with the settings I used. I have also included the formulas I used to calculate sign size based on center-to-center distances of the hexagons on the panels. Please let me know if there is anything you would like to see added! Thanks! Dimensions Formulas These formulas only apply to two hole signs. Center-to-center distance between 2 hexagons: 39.8mm Center-to-center distance between 4 hexagons: 119.5mm d = width of sign in Make My Sign For signs with 5mm Radius d = (center-to-center distance) + 21mm Example for 2 hexagon spacing: d = 39.8 + 21 = 60.8mm width For signs with 10mm Radius d = (center-to-center distance) + 24mm Example for 2 hexagon spacing: d = 39.8 + 24 = 63.8mm width Height I used 75mm height for the larger signs which stops just about where the honeycomb pattern ends. You can add around 10-15mm from 75mm if you want the sign to be taller but this will extend past where the honeycomb pattern ends. The date signs are shorter for no particular reason but that I thought they looked better shorter, you can also make these taller if desired. Make My Sign Settings Date Signs Signs x2 Signs x1
