This is the Derpy Cat Familiar Charm, designed as a flat multicolour charm that prints like a HueForge panel, meaning the artwork is created by stacking thin coloured layers in Z. It works great as: A keychain charm Earrings A zipper pull tag A backpack or convention bag charm At full size the charm is about 32.6 mm x 40 mm and 2.56 mm thick, so it is a nice chunky charm without being too heavy. This model was originally shared as a February Patreon bonus drop for Curations By Kira. Keep the Z height at 2.56 mm so the colour mapping stays correct. For smaller scales we recommend a 0.2 mm nozzle to avoid losing detail. Printing Notes:Base ProfileFirst layer height: 0.16 mmRemaining layers: 0.08 mmInfill: 100 percent for solid colour transitionsMax thickness: 2.56 mmTurn off any features that change layer thickness automatically, such as adaptive layer height or ironing, since these can shift the layer count and throw off the swap schedule. Filament ColoursThe project uses 6 colours (Bambu Lab PLA in our test prints): BlackBlueCyanWhiteMagentaYellowYou can match our colours or substitute close equivalents from your own filament drawer. How to Print: AMS or Pause SwapYou can run this model either on a multi material system or a single extruder printer. Option 1: AMS or MMULoad up to 4 colours into your AMS.Use the provided swap schedule to assign colours to specific layer ranges in Bambu Studio or your preferred slicer.Because this project uses 6 colours, you can still print it on a 4 slot AMS by inserting one planned pause during the print, swapping out two colours that have already finished printing for the remaining two colours, then resuming. The rest of the swaps will be handled automatically by the AMS.Option 2: Single Extruder with Pause SwapsSlice using the HueForge layer settings above.In Preview, add pauses at the swap layers listed in the included describe file.When the printer pauses, swap filament, purge until the new colour is clean, then resume.Either method will give you the same layered artwork effect on the finished charm. Usage and LicensingBy default, this model is intended for personal use only. You may print and use the physical charm for yourself or as gifts, but you may not sell or redistribute the STL files.
