It belonged to the centrosaurine ceratopsids, relatives of Triceratops, and is notable for its prominent nose horn and ornate frill decorated with spikes and knobs. These features likely served for display, species recognition, or defense against predators. Herding behavior is suggested by bonebed discoveries containing many individuals together. As a plant-eater, Wendiceratops browsed on low vegetation using its beak and slicing teeth.
