About this 3D model

Buckle up, pardners! This one is going to exercise that 3D printer of yours. Whilst this does not use much filament, and really does not take that long to print, it does come on 21 build plates. Consider it a bit of a ‘project’. What a great present for someone ?. This basket is 20 cm across at the top and 19 cm high and is highly customisable. Each of the posts, top, bottom and all 17 of the ribbons could be different colours. Obviously, I'm a bit ‘plain Jane’ in my choices - but heck, I'm a nerd. Whatever colours you choose, please make sure that you upload a photo for me to see how uncreative I am. Putting it all together Print all of the plates (but print 2 sets of the ‘Posts'). Get the posts and base printed early and you'll be able to start assembly whilst still printing. Insert each of the posts into the base. THE SQUARE END goes into the base. Press them all in firmly. Face each of the posts in the same direction. Ie. If you want to see the build-surface side of the posts, ensure that each is placed the right way as you put them in. Personally, I have gone with the top surface pointing outwards, and in my opinion, it looks like SCHMICK. Start with Ribbon #1 and carefully tear off the ribbon marker. Place the ribbon over every second post with the bottom going down. For the early stripes, you will need to bend the posts a little. Work your way through each of the ribbons. Remember to get them the right way up and in numerical sequence. After all of the ribbons are on, press the top ring into place. This might take a minute or two to get the posts all in the right spot. You have come this far - see it through. There you go! Now you have a lovely waste basket/plant holder/some other thing in your life. Be kind to it, and be kind to me and give a great rating and a nice becoming comment.
