This kit with shims/gauge blocks and a corresponding box organizer can among other stuff help you with this: Carpeting - fixating elements such as planks or plywood at a set distance. Milling machine - calibrate the drill to the desired distance. As a shims under a table, plank, or whatever… :) Also, wherever you need a piece to guarantee a certain distance between two objects or towards a wall, floor, etc… INCLUDED PIECES: Narrow shims/gauge blocks: 3x [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 20] mm. - SHAPE: 20x30 mm Wide shoms/gauge blocks: 1x [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 20] mm. - SHAPE: 30x60 mm (33x60 mm with “notch” included) BOX/ORGANIZER: Perfectly fits all the blocks neatly and compactly. - SHAPE: 151x63x15 mm NOTE: You can achieve any integer/number by stacking different shims/gauge blocks on top of/beside each other. OBSERVE: The precision of each bit will never be better than your 3D-printers precision - if you do not post-process the pieces that is… Therefore, if you want to use these where high precision is necessary, it is recommended to first measure the precision of each piece with a good caliper or micrometer. If needed, you then can post-process these to the desired precision.
