【Introduction】 This is a dedicated phone case for "vertically folding phones". It can make your small folding phone look more like a professional DV camera. You can use the side screen to monitor your footage, and you can add a strap on the right side to make your shooting easier. I made this case with my own phone, the Oppo Find N2 Flip. So I have provided two versions: one for Oppo and one that you need to hollow out yourself. The principle is to use the negative part feature of the slicing software to dig out a space that fits your phone. (Although I provided the source file, this project is an earlier work, and the source file is pretty bad. If you are a SketchUp pro, feel free to download the source file and edit it.) 【Custom Hollowing Tutorial】(Requires some slicing knowledge) Introduction: Negative parts are a kind of shielding tool. We use this principle to hollow out a space for the phone within the model, achieving a customized size. Measure the dimensions of your folding phone in its half-folded 90° state. Expand each side by 0.1-0.2mm to account for error. Adjust each negative part to match your data (hold down Ctrl to adjust one side at a time). You can move and scale the negative parts together. Align the two parts at the hinge point. Check if the overall size of the combined negative parts matches the phone size. Move the whole thing, using the position in the picture as reference. The negative parts should be against the top but not exceed it. Also, let the dark grey part on the front protrude slightly, leaving an open space for the phone. Let the dark grey part protrude slightly Finally, you can hollow out the camera and button areas in the same way. Good luck! This method may not be perfectly precise. If you want more accuracy, you can refer to the teaching below (or be forced to learn SketchUp and edit the model source file). If you have some modeling skills, you can first model the dimensions of your phone in its half-folded state, slightly increasing it by 0.2mm. Make sure to enclose and extend the camera and button areas completely. After completing the modeling, go to the slicing software and use "Load" in the negative parts. Your model is now the negative part. Find the right position and cut out the model area. Check that the camera and button areas are exposed. 【Others】 Can't the side screen rotate? Actually, I initially thought about making a phone case that could fix the DV posture during half-folding shooting because the hinge is too shaky. So the final version is completely fixed. The hardest thing about phone case content is matching the size of different phones. So I finally thought of using negative parts, leaving the trouble to you (mistake).
