YES!!! It’s exactly what you’re thinking: I made an Ogre / Pirate / Vampire. BOOM! Alright, alright… I’m getting a bit too excited. Here’s the thing: a while back, when I was working on the ogre bodies to make Imperial Ogres (like our good old Boris Bonebreaker), an idea popped into my head: —Is there anything that actually forbids an ogre from becoming a vampire? And the answer is: NO. I’ve dug through a lot of lore, read novels, and revisited plenty of material, and in almost no fantasy universe is there any rule that says vampire ogres can’t exist… (In fact, I even checked a vampire novel published by a miniatures game company I won’t name, and I swear there was a vampire ogre hidden in the background, tucked away in a corner of the story.) So I basically had a free pass to create a vampiric ogre… and where could he fit better than in our beloved Zombie Pirates faction? As always, I get a bit too excited when it comes to pirates… and in this case I also packed in a ton of details. The main idea is that he can work as a standard bearer for your armies, but he’d also make an awesome character for homebrew rules or even as a boss/NPC in a great RPG adventure! I also know some of you will want to use this miniature to represent a mercenary/pirate ogre in a different faction, so to make that easier (and also to help anyone who wants to paint it), I decided to include the banner as a separate piece. With a different banner and a quick little file-down on the fangs, you’ll have a PERFECT non-vampire ogre. Landor.
