Gravelords Season 1 - (4/4) Ashen Council Description Incendia Incendia was once a regular priest of the fire temple, Sindariel, that praised the Fire God, Ambus. Ambus gave life and light to the world, and for that, she was ever grateful. Each day she became more and more devoted to Ambus and was often found inside his great pyre, where the Everflame resides, lit by Ambus himself. Incendia spent years listening to Ambus, about his visions, his dreams of a better world, and each day, she could hear him more and more clearly, one would say she became more devoted, others would say delusional, but one day, she decided to aid Ambus in bringing his visions to life. She stood in front of the Everflame, looked at her fellow priests, told them:" This world is corrupted, and need to be cleansed" As they stood there, confused about her statement, wondering what to answer. She turned back to the Everflame, and took one step closer, and another. Before her fellow priests could react, she lifted her foot onto the brazier and walked directly into the flames. As she stood there, looking at her friends, the flames started to catch her clothes, then her flesh. The other priests stood there in true fear from her rash actions, one was frantically looking for a water source to quench the flames, but it was too late. Incendia was already fully engulfed, and her screams could be heard throughout the temple. The room got filled quickly with priests and guards from every corner of the Sindariel, but they could do nothing. No one dared to extinguish the one flame Ambus himself once lit, in fear of bringing darkness to the rest of the world, this was merely suicide from a delusional priest. As most came to the conclusion of Incendia's death and began to gather for a funeral ceremony, one of the priests noticed a figure, still standing in the great flame. Just as he pointed towards the Brazier, a figure stepped out from the flame. Fleshless, hairless, a female with a bone-like armor stepped out, then silence. As the figure's head lifted up, scouting her surrounding, Incendia announced herself to the crowd. Everyone was in awe of her new form, some in absolute praise, others speaking of devils, but yet, no one moved. Incendia stepped forward, a voice can be clearly heard from her, yet there is no mouth, she speaks of her visions from Ambus, about a corrupted world, and she has accepted the task from the Fire God and be his sword in his new crusade. To cleanse the world by fire, only to rise again, like herself as a child of Ambus. Ash'Kahn The archpriest spoke up in true spite, pointing at Incendia and yelling that she has joined forces with the devil himself, and she wants to kill all of them. But as he spits out word after word about devil worship to turn the crows against her, one of her close friends, Kahn walks towards the Everflame and jumps in. After a short reenactment of Incendia's descent into the flames, Kahn stepped out, and what once was quite a large figure of a Guard stepping in, an even larger figure stepped out, in the same boney outfit as Incendia. Being a close friend to Incendia, Kahn took his place beside Incendia, and assured her visions to the crowd, persuading the rest to follow suit, to join the crusade in a cleansed form, or join as the crusade fuel to the flame. Nex'xear Nex was a mysterious character. He grew up in the temple, yet he never became an acolyte of the flame, but was taken under the wing of the Archpriest, and grew up initially to become a guard of the Sindariel under the Archpriest's supervision, yet he proved to be more nimble and dexterous than the others, which gave the Archpriest an idea. Nex became the shadow of the temple, the Archpriest would send him on dangerous missions in the name of Sindariel, to carry out dirty work against heretics and enemies alike. No one else but the Archpriest knew of Nex's position, so everyone else thought of him as an errand boy, a messenger for the fire temple. He took a liking to Incendia over time and spent most of his time inside the temple stalking her, but more in a protective way since he knew of the Archpriest's spite against her, so without hesitation, in true excitement, Nex jumped right into the flame. Unlike Kahn and Incendia, a thick, smokey substance flew out of the flame and around Incendia, and when the smoke settled, Nex stood next to her in his new form, he said nothing, only looked at his hands, then at the Archpriest. Pyretus Retus was a renounced priest of Sindariel, he worked as the assistant of the Archpriest and did most of the writing, and kept the temple tidy. He believed the temple could become so much more and had so many visions he kept to himself, in fear of being cast out of the temple by the Archpriest, in secret he was looking to overthrow him, so he could rule over the temple and bring it to new heights.
