About this 3D model
Please note I had to upload the full mesh size KnifeNest Main body 3MF file as a raw file due to the upload system not being able to upload it. There apparently is a time limit and it exceeded that, which I found out is 5mins. This I am seeing is due to studio taking so long to propagate tree supports. It took my computer 2:30mins to slice the main body. The print profile uploaded has a 40% reduction in triangles. MODEL The KnifeNest Combo was created to help with food prep and to make use of other items needed while doing so. We also wanted to create a design that had a more natural style to it, so it can be used with a wide variety of kitchen styles. We also incorporated the tree design to the sides to bring nature into the overall feel, because of where our foods come from. As you can see this is a large model that takes time to print and you will need patience when removing the supports. They do come off easily and made a couple revisions to make sure they did, but there are a lot of them and some are quite small needing pliers. The pictures shown are with no post production done. Only the supports where pulled off as we wanted to show the raw model with them removed. We tested this with two different brands of wood filament and did notice that the supports where easier to remove with iSANMATE than with OVV3D. Both brands did print the model with no problems! PRINT We choose to use a setting of .20 Standard with 2 walls, which was sufficient for the wood filament and decreased print time, but if you prefer 3 walls this will add approximately 3.5hrs to the print time. ADDITIONAL ITEMS NEEDED 12 60x10x3mm Bar Magnets (They are $11.99 on Amazon) CA Glue (Preferred), Super Glue, or Plastic Epoxy (For Base Only) Approximately 6 cups of rice if choosing to do the additional weight option in the assembly guide.
