PART 6. Fred especially liked the weaponry that goes boom !. Lots of noise and fire equaled fun. Fred, despite being very intelligent, seemed in some respects to have the intelligence of a child combined with that of an adult. He became very popular with the military and they soon ordered a special unit of more alien beings like Fred. The professor never ceased his investigations after his first success with Fred, but he found the success rate to be almost non-existent.
