The Hau, or Branch People, are intelligent monkeys, roughly the size of a chimp but leaner and sleeker, with bright, mischievous eyes, that form carefree communities in the hills and forests at the edge of Allarian civilization. The hau have multicolored fur with shifting patterns; they sometimes go naked to better display their colors, and sometimes wear clashing clothes and kit-bashed, gaudily painted weapons and armor. The patterns on a hau’s fur constantly shift and change. Each set of a hau’s multiple eyes disappears when they blink out, reappearing in a different part of their face when they open them again.
