About this 3D model

Ideal for tracking the health of the biggest, baddest units in your tabletop army, this handy counter tracks up to 99 wounds. A clever locking mechanism ensures the numbers count down to zero with a satisfying *click* on each rotation. PRINTING TIPS: STLs have been laid out in the ideal orientations for FDM printing. I highly recommend using a 0.2mm nozzle, as some thin/detailed sections may not print correctly with a 0.4mm nozzle, and dimensional accuracy/tolerances are tight. Note that 3x2mm magnets are required to complete the assembly of this print. Because the model has been designed to fit magnets of that specific size, changing the scale of this print is not recommended. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS: 1) Prepare the "Base" by glueing the "Ratchet Holder" into the slot in the base. 2) Glue your 3x2mm magnets into the small circular slots in the "Ratchet Arm" and "Base". Make sure the magnets are oriented so they attract one another. 3) Slide the "Ratchet Arm" onto the "Ratchet Holder" peg. Do not glue. Make sure the arm can rotate freely and smoothly. Set the base assembly aside. 4) Slide "Spinner R" and "Spinner L" onto the "Axel Rod" such that the teeth of the gears are together. Ensure both spinners rotate freely and smoothly. Do the next two steps quickly while the glue is setting: 5) Glue the "Shell L" and "Shell R" pieces onto the ends of the "Axel Rod" assembly. The spikes on the spinners should rotate through the grooves without making contact. 6) While the glue is setting, apply glue to the impressions on either side of the "Base" assembly. Lower the "Axel Rod" assembly into position and press the bottoms of "Shell L" and "Shell R" firmly/snugly into the impressions. CHECK YOUR ORIENTATION! THE RATCHET ARM SHOULD LOCK NEATLY INTO THE INNER TEETH OF THE SPINNERS' GEARS! 7) Once the glue from the previous steps is set, the mechanism should work (spinners should only rotate one direction, and there should be a magnetic snap on each turn) 8) Lastly, glue "Shell M" into place. Be sure to test your spinners' rotation as the glue sets to ensure they do not touch the inner walls of "Shell M". Done! Enjoy your fancy new wound counter, and happy wargaming!
