This is a jig to help mark out the position For Cabinet hinge plates. All you need to do is mark the measurement where you wish to put the hinge plate Then use the jig to mark the two holes either with a pencil or with a centre finder drill bit to position the screws for the hinge plate. There are two position available on the jig 37mm in from the edge of a cabinet which is standard for lay on doors or 57mm in which is standard for recessed doors. There is also a long hole in the top and in the side face to view the mark which you have made for the position of the plate this is also can be handy as it is a perfect 90 degree edge if you need to draw a line for anything else. This makes the job a lot easier than traditionally having to mark a line where you wish the centre of the hinge to go and then mark the distance in you want the plate to be then mark either side of that line the correct measurement and then drill the holes this can speed up the process a lot especially when you have a lot of doors to hang.
