About this 3D model

A stylized Elephant Cutlery Drainer designed to hold freshly washed cutlery and other items while they drain and dry naturally. The excess water drains into a sink through the elephant's trunk. The parts can be easily 3D printed, but will require support, on a modern inexpensive 3D Printer. They can be printed with a variety of materials, including PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA and many other types of printable materials. PLA works very well for this application. It is easy to print. The object should be durable, easy to maintain, and last for a long time. However, it should not be stored or kept at high temperature, exceeding ~55 C (~ 130 F). Should the object be left in a high temperature environment, such as a parked car in the summer, or in direct sunlight, I strongly recommend using another heat tolerant material, such as PETG, ASA or ABS to prevent warping. Please note that both the orange and the blue elephant drainers featured in the pictures were printed using PETG. Printing Details Recommended print settings with a .4 mm nozzle - Layer Hight: .2 mm - 3 perimeters or shells (1.2 ~ 1.5 mm) - 6 bottom layers (1.2 mm) - 6 top layers (1.2 mm) - Infill 10%~15%, depending on infill type Assembly Instructions Print both the elephant drainer and the drain grid. Insert the drain grid in the top of the elephant. Two drain grids model files are provided. The “-a” offers a slightly tighter fit.
