Happy Lunar New Year! Chinese Ink Wash Painting or 水墨畫 dates back to the Tang Dynasty and is a brush painting technique that uses only black ink in different concentrations. I will be putting this piece up on my wall this year, instead of a customary red and gold wall decoration. Dimensions of the completed print are: 40cm x 30cm. Prints in 4 pieces (3+ hours each). Glue onto cardboard backing and insert into any 40cm x 30cm frame of your choice. The IKEA RIBBA is a good economical choice that fits perfectly, and is what i will be personally going with. Makers with an AMS unit should be good to go with just the provided profile. If you do not own an AMS / are using a different brand of printer, the color changes should be replaced with pauses instead, where you would manually switch filaments. Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.16mm Filaments Used: Generic Black, Brown, Grey, White PLA+ filaments Swap Instructions: Start with Black At layer #5 (0.48mm) swap to Brown At layer #6 (0.56mm) swap to Gray At layer #11 (0.96mm) swap to White for the rest. P.S. I opted to go with a slightly brown tone to (somewhat) replicate the look of aged paintings. If you prefer a cooler tone, simply switch the brown to a dark grey or charcoal.
