These creatures feed on insects living beneath the surface, typically preying on young exonids or the larvae of other insectile species residing in tunnels beneath the earth. Because many of the creatures they feed on are attracted to sordalite, earth rumblers can often be found near newly discovered sources of sordalite or exonid colonies. Their tremorsense often leads earth rumblers to investigate sordalite mines and other dig sites, where they can become a threat to miners, often attacking them in confusion.
