While I initially envisioned a freight train design, it seemed impractical for everyday use. Ultimately, I opted to employ the folder pattern found in Windows 11 to craft this color swatch box. The design comprises two primary approaches: 1. Display This design allows me to quickly locate the filament I need based on its color. The folder's body features an open angle, facilitating effortless switching between various hues. I incorporated seven colors of the rainbow, plus one outlier, to create an 8x8 board, showcasing a total of 64 colors. 2. Storage Recognizing that 64 colors might not suffice, and considering the potential need for categorized storage based on material or manufacturer, I meticulously designed a version with labels to streamline organization. As stacking is necessary, the folder body lacks angles. The folders designed for display are available in multi-color or single-color variations. The board features eight colors arranged in a specific order. (For single-color requests, I will place it at the end.) The storage folder is segmented into a main body and a base, facilitating users to conveniently select only the categories they need, thereby minimizing search time. The upper left corner of the folder incorporates a groove for labels. I have pre-designed the three fundamental labels for PLA, PETG, and ABS. Naturally, you can also reference the screenshot below to design your own custom label.
