Gwynt Royal Couriers Formed in the 1500’s, when Gwynt and Coftyr would still squabble, Gwynt's Royal Couriers were officially just messengers carrying diplomatic correspondence. Unofficially, they were perfect spies. They had legitimate reasons to travel through Coftyran territory, knew the roads, got to know the locals, and nobody questioned a courier. But they'd also watch troop movements, note fortifications, count supply wagons, then report back with their "diplomatic pouches." After a lasting peace was formalized between Coftyr and the Principality Coftyr’s King commanded the Couriers be disbanded. To honor their service and storied history Gwynt instead formalized the Royal Couriers as a military unit. They kept their traditions but added military training. Now they do both: escort VIPs and vital dispatches between the Gates but they also slip through Crusader lines to deliver more... direct messages. Every Fyf, the Couriers, wherever they may be stationed, muster in formation at dawn and recite, or shout, or whisper depending on the situation the rhyfler finds themselves in, their creed: Neither distance, nor darkness, nor enemy shall stay our course. The message shall be delivered!
