About this 3D model

Hello folks, I've been using the Sturdy Meta Quest 3 mount ( Link ) for some time and it's an amazing design! However, some things bothered me: The "spring" mechanism didn't provide enough pressure to keep the headphones firmly on the ears. The sliding mechanism was not smooth, often skipping snapping points. There is a risk of the headphone adapter breaking, but it required reprinting the entire arm. The sliding mechanism had limited adjustment distance. The mount was loose on the Quest's strap, necessitating additional tape for a secure fit. To address these problems, I designed my own variant to enhance the experience, making it as seamless and smooth as possible: A rubber band mechanism ensures consistent ear pressure and snaps back to the idle position. Smooth sliding mechanism for easy positional adjustments. Modular headphone adapter, allowing for easy replacement in case of failure. The strap mount has been tightened for a secure fit without extra tinkering. The .3mf file includes everything needed for two sets. Additional Required Parts: 2x M3x14mm rounded head screws. 8x M2x6mm hex socket head bolts. Small rubber bands, like those "Rainbow Loom" bands. Adjust the amount and size according to your preferred pressure force. OR some small springs like here: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005003895142563.html I'm using the 0.5*3*15 ones as in: 0.5mm wire diameter 3mm outer diameter 15mm length If you decide to use springs, I recommend printing the parts stronger, with more walls as they put more strain on the mechanism. Drivers from the Koss KSC75 (recommended) or Koss Porta Pro Building Instructions: Simply snap everything together and insert the screws into the corresponding holes. The process is quite straightforward. Refer to the images as a guide. I've also made a video to demonstrate the build process and make it easier for everyone. You can find it here : Printing Instructions: Default settings. Use tree support for the clips. I've used PETG but anything like PLA is fine. I have the elite strap and thus it's made for that. For other straps some editing to the clip might be necessary. If you have any feedback, let me now! Have a great day!
