Description: A maiolica jar in the shape of an owl, with the stopper in the shape of the head of an owl missing. It is decorated in a design known as peacock feather or peacock eye in blue, yellow and black. The back is undecorated. It may have contained oil or water with the head serving as the cup. Sicilian, probably Caltagirone. Date Made: 18th century AD
