The parts are connected with M6x30mm carriage bolts + washer + M6 wing nut. There are three parts: 1. A part with a 6mm stop, as I wanted the steps to protrude 6mm. The part is recessed from below so that the M6 carriage bolts are countersunk. 2. A part without a stop for the cheeks (sides).
