This shell belongs to one of a number of sea snails collectively referred to as "conch". It is a gastropod mollusk. It is a modern specimen. Scanned in Dr. Franek Hasiuk's GeoFabLab (Department of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences, Iowa State University) from an unmarked specimen.
