Slide on the brackets from the power strip's side to avoid overstretching and breaking them (depends on your filament, PETG might be fine). Personally I would choose a stiff PLA filament, because a flexing one would interfere with the main purpose sooner or later. Hang onto your Ikea Skadis pegboard. Have fun. ?
